Why on earth did God create snow to be cold? Sure, it's beautiful and all, but it would sure be a whole heck of a lot more enjoyable if the fluffy white stuff maintained a temperature of 80 degrees instead of below freezing. Also, the simple fact that snow remains cold causes a whole lot of problems. There's hypothermia, black ice, getting your car stuck, and just the plain old miserable fact that you are outside and cold.
Just think of it. Wouldn't you be less reluctant to make a snow angel, or go skiing if you were falling into a giant, fluffy pile of warmth? Gee that sounds grand :) Also, you wouldn't have to scrape the ice off your windshield in the morning with the chance of this happening to you:
Poor guy, my heart goes out to him every time I watch that.
